New Hampshire Planners Association
Annual Meeting
October 15, 2004, Approved February 24, 2005

Call to Order:
Chairperson Kerrie Diers called the meeting to order and welcomed those in attendance.

Treasurer's Report:
A treasurer's report was presented. Ben Frost made a motion to approve the report. The motion was seconded by Rhett Lamb and all were in favor.

New NHPA Logo:
Chairperson Kerrie Diers explained to the Association that the Executive Committee had decided to develop a new logo. The logo was presented and is as follows:

She thanked committee members who helped develop the design and also Stacy Koscielniak from New Hampshire Local Government Center (LGC) for her assistance. The membership agreed the new logo was appropriate for the organization.

New NHPA Website:
Chairperson Kerrie Diers announced that NHPA has been working with the LGC on developing a new website. She showed a slide of what the site will look like. The site should be running soon. This website will have a new format and will be used more extensively for posting Executive Committee meeting minutes and agendas, news articles, job postings, and other relevant information.

Chris Northrop asked if the Executive Committee would be maintaining the website. It was explained that the maintenance of the site would be the LGC's responsibility.

Ben Frost thanked Lori Walter, Audrey Bentley, and Stacy Koscielniak from the LGC for all their efforts on the website.

2005 Executive Committee Work Plan:
Chairperson Kerrie Diers reviewed several items that the Executive Committee expects to work on in 2005. This includes a spring conference, expanding the website and legislative issues.

Ben Frost reported that in 2004 a legislative tracker was developed and the NHPA provided 6 letters of testimony on legislation. He encouraged members to testify at hearings.

Other Business:
The format of the annual meeting was discussed. Those present felt that holding the meeting in conjunction with a professional development workshop was useful and helped to increase attendance.

Chris Northrop announced that OEP has two copies of the DVD “The End of Suburbia” and it is available on loan.

The meeting adjourned at 1:20 p.m.
