Local Government Center - Concord, NH
February 22, 2007 Draft

Executive Committee Members Present:
Ben Frost, Rebecca Hebert, Sandrine Thibault, Angie Vincent, Jim Campbell

J. Campbell called the meeting to order at 9:40.

NHPA Conference Update:
S. Thibault reported that the NHPA conference will be at the Harborside Sheraton Hotel in Portsmouth, NH on May 10 & 11. The conference will be more expensive this year at $100/ person for food only. This amount does not include the dinner. Thursday night a reception will be held at the Blue Mermaid in Portsmouth. Sarah James will be the keynote speaker. S. Thibault distributed an outline of the conference agenda with workshop locations and speakers.

Minutes:
S. Thibault moved to approve the November 30, 2006 and January 25, 2007 minute. Motion passed.

Membership Directory:
B. Frost is working with the LGC to update the database of members for the directory. The database has been sorted to get a professional for each community. The next step is to update the database and confirm positions. There are seven pages of names, but many of them are not planners. A. Vincent, R. Hebert, and B. Frost will meet with the LGC to go over the details.

Plan-NH Outreach:
B. Frost has joined Plan-NH and will pursue a reciprocal or discounted membership for NHPA. There may be an opportunity to trade memberships between the two executive committees.

Website News and Updates:
A. Vincent reported that the website has been updated with all of the NNECAPA presentations. The NHPA conference save the date will soon be posted along with the hotel information.

NNECAPA Update:
S. Thibault reported that there will be no professional development workshop this spring. The NHPA conference will be marketed to the other states. The registration should first be sent to NHPA members then to other groups. An email could be sent to the NNECAPA members.

Legislative Issues:
The Committee discussed the topic of revising State statutes. This would be a long process and may take a few years. There is interest from NHPA but Committee is apprehensive about tackling this issue. B. Frost suggested approaching the Growth and Development Round Table. This is an effort funded by the NH Charitable Foundation and would provide a diverse group of stakeholders. The Committee discussed the status of House and Senate bills.

Next Executive Committee meeting will be on March 22, 2007 at 10:00 at the LGC.

Adjourn:
The meeting adjourned at 11:00 am.

Respectfully Submitted,

Rebecca Hebert, Secretary
