The
New Hampshire Planners Association was founded in 1970 by a group
of planners who recognized the need for a forum to discuss planning
issues on a statewide level. The New Hampshire Planners Association
helps planners to stay on top of current trends affecting planning
in New Hampshire.
Reflecting
the diversity of the planning profession, the New Hampshire Planners
Association's membership spans a broad spectrum of interests and
backgrounds. Professional planners, planning board members, and
individuals with an interest in planning are all welcome to participate
in the programs of the NHPA.
Planning
is a multi-disciplinary profession that involves all aspects of
life in a community. Planners are called on daily to make decisions
that involve environmental, economic, social, technical and legal
issues. Since its inception, the NHPA has been active in developing
policy statements on issues such a growth control, land use regulation,
environmental protection, energy, transportation and regional planning. |
