| Welcome to the website of the New Hampshire Planners Association. Through this website, the NHPA serves the New Hampshire planning community by providing information on current events, articles and opinions, current legislative initiatives, and news about planners around the state, as well as links to the many resources that are available to help you in your profession. Please feel free to submit articles and opinions, tell us what's happening with you or your community, and tell us of a planning event that you have not found on our site. Let's work together to improve the quality of life for all of New Hampshire's communities. |

The 2008 NH Planners Association conference this past spring in Nashua was a great success. Thank you to all the NH planners that participated in the conference. In an effort to make the 2008 NH Planners Association conference as sustainable as possible, a number of steps in the design and delivery over the two days were taken. To read the steps taken click here. Also, to view the 2008 awards please visit our awards page. For a list of current job postings this summer season, please visit our job listing page here. As we enter into summer the conference season is slowing. However, it looks like there will be ample opportunities for planners again in the fall and a few unique events in the summer. For more information please see the NHPA Workshops and Events page.NHPA Executive Committee would also like to say farewell and wish new wonderful beginnings to fellow planner and executive committee member Angela Vincent. Angela Vincent has relocated to Massachusetts where she will be working with ICLEI (link to site www.iclei.org) as the new Northeast Program Director.” |

Thank you to everyone who attended NHPA's Annual Conference and to our many generous sponsors. Thanks to everyone we had a fantastic turnout and conference with over 75 planners from all over the state participating.
Now that the busy conference, legislative and town meeting season is over, we can all take some time to reflect on what we have learned and begin to contemplate new ideas and plans for our communities. Visit the Annual Conference page to access handouts and presentations from the Annual Conference. Review recent legislation updates from NHPA's legislative committee. For those looking to create new inclusionary housing ordinances, NHHFA is currently soliciting IZIP grant applications. Also, see NHPA's recent award winners for creative ideas to inspire your community. more..... |
