Jeffrey H. Taylor and Associates and Clay Mitchell of MG Planning are pleased to announce that we are partnering with NativeEnergy to make the NNECAPA Annual Conference climate neutral. We are offsetting the 22 tons of CO 2 that will result from attendee travel, accommodations and venue energy with renewable energy credits (RECs) and doing at least a small part to fight global warming.
With our purchase of CO 2 offsets, we are helping build the Schrack Family farm methane renewable energy project in Loganton, PA. When this project is completed, it will displace dirty energy sources and keep CO 2 out of the air on our behalf. That’s not all – through a partnership with non-profit Clean Air Cool Planet, the environmental benefits of our purchase are made permanent, so that these offsets will never be re-sold, traded, or exchanged – ever!
NativeEnergy offsets the climate impacts of energy use for businesses, homeowners and for events such as the Green Festivals and music tours by the Dave Matthews Band, REM and others. How does NativeEnergy offset CO 2? By enabling its clients to help build new wind farms and farm methane digesters owned and operated by Native Americans and by family dairy farmers. By purchasing a share of the renewable energy credits these projects are estimated to generate over their operating lives, clients bring critical up-front funding to them when they need it the most, helping them get financed and built. |
